Phase 4 is done. But it would be criminal if I called it done at this point. After three years, it would be kinda fucked up if I simply fixed everything to the same state that it was in before we moved servers.
A state which was completely broken.
So! Introducing Phase 4b! Auxiliary Phase State! Welcome to it.
The plan is as it always was: fix the gallery management system so that you may upload, label, submit, and manage pieces. I've learned a great deal about user experience and building logical processes akin to wizards.
Plus there was a philosophy I ran across in my days of reading the web that stuck out to me. It said to have a successful product on the Internet, you have to keep moving. Develop. Release. Get Feedback. Repeat. It's pretty easy to get stuck on Step 1, Develop. Eventually you start chasing the Paper Tiger of a Perfect Feature, and you never finish it. You never Release a version of it people can actually use, you never Get Feedback on if it was a good idea or not. You just throttle the redline on Develop until the engine burns out.
Sound familiar?
Phase 5 is still on the horizon. I swear to you there will be so many tacos.
Until then you can return to the forums.
